If I had to pick three qualities I expect from a good book, I would say that, one: it has to keep my interest, nobody wants to read a book the dont like. Two: it has to have sufficient detail. I want a book that makes me visualize whats happening, if I cant picture it, then I cant stay with the book. Also I like a book that makes me think. I prefer to read a novel where come across words I'm not familiar with, and look up their meanings, rather then one where I know everyword. Three: I tend to always go for classic novels. Ones that have been read and recomended for years.
The book I have read so far is: Anne Frank The Diary Of A Young Girl. so far this book has met my expectations in a good book. So far, I'm loving this book.
Frank, Anne. The Diary Of A Young Girl. Bantam Books. 1993. Print.
Those are three great qualities.
ReplyDeleteI love how you enjoy classic books! It's true, the ones that have been around for years might be old and outdated but they were popular at one point for a reason! Let me know how you like 'The Diary Of A Young Girl' when you finish. I want to read it one day.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your three chosen qualities in a book. I also agree with Bronwyn, I noticed that book and was quite intrigued with it. Let me know if it lives up to those three qualities, because I might too check it out.
ReplyDeleteThe three qualities you picked that were important in a novel are some of the things that I look for in a book too. I started reading The Diary of Anne Frank and I also agree that it is good so far.
